What’s the Hair Color Trend Among Celebrities these Days?

Many of my clients bring in photo’s of their favorite celebrities, asking how to get that specific celebrities look. And the trend that is getting the most requests is…

Ombré hair color! Ombré is a French word for shading. Ombré hair color is generally darker at the roots and gradually gets lighter throughout the mid shaft and ends. It can be very soft and subtle or have a major contrast.

For a blonde, Ombré gives that “rooty” look and gives you a change without losing your blonde. It can be soft and subtle (like Whitney Port or Lauren Conrad) by deepening your root and toning down your ends or a little more drastic (Drew Barrymore) by lightening your ends and deepening your root by one to two shades.

As for brunettes, ombré is a great way to make a change without giving yourself a high maintenance hair color. After months of deepening your color and adding more and more build up to your ends you’re looking for a change. With ombré you’re getting either a natural change with some softer lighter brown ends (Jessica Biel) or a little more dramatic with some more lighter ends (Khloe Kardashian) depending on how your hair can lighten. Maximus’ own client ,Jwoww, has been seen with ombré hair color in various shades of red and caramel.

Every client with ombré hair color is receiving a customized hair color according to their haircut and hair texture. Ombré starts at $150 and is a beautiful way to make a change!
